An all-volunteer organization, VIP provides services, training and support for visually impaired and blind individuals in Charlotte. In addition to a peer support group, services include low vision aids (and education on their use), orientation and mobility training, independent living classes, braille instruction upon request, and specialized information and referral (for example, signing up for Charlotte County Transit through VIP affords the rider significant discounts).
